Vision Network Transition: Verify the Plan and Network Name
11/05/2026
Several vision products are changing or clarifying their network arrangements. New Lincoln Financial Vision Benefit Plans launched September 1, 2026, and may also be called Lincoln VisionConnect; these plans are administered through the UnitedHealthcare Vision Network/Spectera. Separately, selected Davis Vision members in Arizona, California, Florida and New York transitioned to Solstice coverage effective October 1, 2026. Existing Spectera participation does not itself need to change, but practices must verify each member’s exact plan, benefits and network before providing services.
Why it matters
The transition involves different products and administrators, so a generic “vision network” label is not enough to confirm participation. Selected Davis Vision members in Arizona, California, Florida and New York moved to Solstice coverage effective October 1, 2026; Lincoln Financial VisionConnect plans use the UnitedHealthcare Vision Network/Spectera. These are distinct paths and should not be conflated.
What practices should do
At scheduling and before claim submission, check eligibility and benefits using the member’s exact plan name. For affected Davis Vision members in AZ, CA, FL and NY, confirm Solstice coverage; for Lincoln Financial VisionConnect, check the UnitedHealthcare Vision Network/Spectera. Keep Spectera participation records current and do not transfer network assumptions from one of these products to another.
