90-Day Provider Data Attestation Reminder – Availity Essentials (Effective January 1, 2026)
02/05/2026
Reminder: Provider Data Attestation Requirements
Effective: January 1, 2026. Applies to: Commercial / Medicare Advantage / Medicaid Providers
Healthcare providers contracted with health plans are required to verify and update their demographic data every 90 days using the Provider Data Management (PDM) feature in Availity Essentials. Noncompliance with these attestation requirements can result in removal from the online provider directory.
Why Provider Data Attestation Matters
Maintaining accurate provider demographic data is critical for several key reasons:
- Member Access: Ensures members can find and connect with providers when seeking care
- Claims Processing: Supports accurate and efficient claims processing
- Timely Reimbursement: Enables prompt payment for services rendered
- Directory Accuracy: Keeps online provider directories current and reliable for members using Find Care tools
Failure to complete the 90-day attestation requirement may classify your organization as non-compliant with health plan policies and could result in removal from the online provider directory.
Attestation Requirements
All contracted care providers must attest to their demographic data every 90 days using the PDM capability available on Availity Essentials. This requirement applies to provider and facility information, including addresses, phone numbers, specialties, panel status, and other directory-listed data.

Availity Essentials offers two no-cost options for updating and attesting provider data:
Option 1: Multipayer Platform

Both options satisfy the 90-day attestation requirement.
